Maki Sushi
Rice wrapped in nori seaweed sheet with fish or vegetables. A bamboo mat called makisu it is used in order to wrap and moisten the edge of the nori sheet and to make it adhere to the rice.
This kind of sushi is composed with different fillings, chosen depending on the balance of tastes and colors. They can be sorted into:
– Hosomaki (thin sushi roll): wrapped rice with a single ingredient
– Futomaki (large sushi roll): wrapped rice with several ingredients
