Nigiri Sushi
Manually oval-shaped rice with a slice of raw fish or other ingredients on the top, usually served by twos.
There are several varieties of nigiri sushi. Some of the most common are tuna, salmon, eel, raw or cooked shrimp, sea bass, amberjack, turbot, squid, octopus, crab, smooth clam, scallop, Japanese omelette.
Depending on tastes, it can be dipped in soy sauce or a bit of wasabi can be added on top or between the fish slice and the rice.
Sometimes a thin strip of nori can be used to tie the fish (for example octopus, eel or squid) to the rice and to prevent it from falling.
